17.5 is my record...
It will stand for quite some time for me I think.

I am at about 18 hours max for Avlis, but I have had longer on other games.

I think my record was a game of Master of Orion 2 on a LAN with 5 mates.

Started 10am saturday morning. Stopped for the first time 5am sunday morning. 6 hours sleep and breakfast then started again at mid-day sunday, then round to monday morning, 3 or so, before starting again some time monday morning and finally having a winner about 10 monday evening.

When I was like 11 I once spent over 48 solid hours playing Ultima IV. No sleep, no food, only Coca-cola and trips to the bathroom.

I did the same with Ultima 4-7 1/2 I was a huge Ultima fan, untill 8, then EA took over killed Garriots dream.

Now Garriot is developing a game called Tabula Rasa (sp?) I think its a MMORPG.. I hate MMORPGs.

Garriot came to the stunning conclusion that a subscription based business model = many more lapdances.

I feel like an amateur, I've never broken approximately the 6-7 hour barrier, and likely never will. If I can squeeze in 3 hours on a given weeknight, I consider that a long session. Just goes to show you that even we who cannot spend actual days online can still have fun in this place.

I think about 23 hours was my longest session to date... I ended paying for it however; when I finally logged off due to exhaustion, I spent the next 16 or so hours in the deepest sleep I have experienced in a long time!

Usually, I only get about 6 hours rest on a normal night...

I think my body is thankful that this vacation is nearly over and I will be forced to let it sleep before going to work everyday. :(

I've beend spending somewhere between 8 and 16 hours a day in Avlis for the last, well bunch of days...I would tell you which ones, but I'm not really sure what day today is. *checks the system clock* I'll be doing it one last time or two before before vacation ends. :)

That's a disturbing number of us reaching the almost full calendar date category.

Normally only things with "grind" based gameplay (IE MMOGs) manage to be this bad :)

i actually take breaks, so my longest session is around the 12 hr mark...i think.

But lately i've been logging on around 11-12 at night and playing until 5-6 in the morning. Sleep during the day, then log back on at night.

Recently had an accident that put me in a neck brace, so unless my friends come and visit me or i rack up the courage to go into public with this thing around my neck (and that only happens when alcohol is involved), i'm usually online.

I'm in the 6 to 10 hour range. Life's just too hectic to go beyond that. But the real reason for this post: 5 people in the 2 day club! Holy shit. I knew folks played long hours from posts I've read on * cough * other worlds * cough * so I suspected some big numbers. But .... wow! That's some staying power that would make Mark Martin envious ( http://www.markmartin.org/markscreening.html ).

Been wondering why I've seen you getting about at very late hours...

Anyhow. After about 18 hours with minimal breaks (food toilet etc..) my eyes get really fucked up. So thats about my longest I guess.

Well, my longest would be around 32-33 hours...
But then in the end things do start to get blurry :)

I do have a lot of days where is get up to 12-14 hours.

My longest session, well like most peoples that is as long as possible (i.e. unti your eyeballs dry up and fall out, your fingers seize up and you fall asleep in the chair). Actually though it is well over 12 hours though can't exactly remember. Undoubtedly if I had more time or my body was more resilient it would be much longer.

I generally find I stop function properly after about ten hours, after which point I am running on auto-pilot. This quite often leads to agreeing to go on some fool-hardy venture somewhere far more dangerous than I should, dying horribly surrounded by hordes of tough foes and then having to spend another two tortorous hours trying to get back to my stuff  .

More often though after playing far too long I decide to check the boards and end up posting completely incoherent messages that don't even make sense to me let alone anyone else. (I wish they could add a spell check to this thing as my spelling as bad enough anyway but after ten hours playing..... wlel jsut frogte ti!)

(This last part is not helped by my complete impatience in never checking my posts until after I post them. Winessed by the fact that that is exactly what I just had to do here!)
