I had finished Nathan the Centaur and put him in my "Bics to send to Orleron" folder before this thread came out.

And he was judged a FoTM l337 n00b, and shunned for eternity.

It would be interesting to see a half-ogre wielding a greatsword on the one hand and a bastard sword on the other . ;)
Or two longbows one on each hand and pulling the string with his teeth LOL

Why not just two great swords?

I voted for centaur because I have a preference for them.

My real vote would go to Pixie/fairy/whatever. I want to be a Titanian Fairy. They just look cool in the game IMO. I always considered making a sorceror and having my familiar be a fairy and just hide in a house and RP as a titanian fairy, but I never went through with it...

I can just see the jokes coming...

So, how much weight can a fairy carry before becoming encumbered? 4 pounds? 5?

I guess there woiuld have to be special fairy items for weight. So a fairy sword would be 1/4 of a pound. Fairy boots 1/2 of a pound. Potions would be 1/10 of a pound. Ahhhhhhh!

Or am I missing something obvious?

A pixie has the str of 10, or at least a shapeshifted pixies has.

Half-Ogre?

PostAuthor: Pyracantha » Fri Nov 07, 2003 4:16 pm

Looks like an interesting melee character, but what's the backstory on these? What's the other half?

Prompts some disturbing mental pictures.

I think the problem with the fairies is and would be the shape shifting.

Orleron wrote:Avlissian fairies have the ability to take the small pixie-like form and also the form of a 4 ft tall fairy. They can change form back and forth at will.

We could do it by having the ability to polymorph into a nymph. If we could adjust stats to those of a fairy then I am pretty sure they look close enough to each other (minus the green glow)

This poll is so encouraging. I say that because of how evenly distributed the voting is so far. It shows how diverse the community is about what type of roleplay we find interesting. Also, as the custom race issues are ironed out and folks begin taking up these races, we'll see a variety of creatures roaming the area instead of the same ones repeatedly.

Bling. Bling.

Changlings will be SO fun if you guys ever get them working.

Strangely, because they are so important in the Baldur's Gate game, I feel like the game is diminished without them.

Also, funny how low the Kobold percentage is considering how many of us there are :)

I voted Orc... I think the Orcs in Avlis are unique, and sorely underplayed... *hopes for Brekon server one day*... and hoping to make an Orc wizard one day... so he can run from the Dominators...

*goes off to play with CODI*

Have you made one? I did, and whilst casually strolling round in front of Priests of Valok got jumped and killed by a halfling!

I have, yes.. couldn't get the body type I was after, so waiting to see if we'll get changeable bodies after the upgrade to HotU, so he can put robes on and such.. just annoying not to be able to change the appearance in any way.. so I'm being patient before making a serious Orc wizard..

I chose Wemic! Besides the obvious, it's because Changeling is not on the list. ;)
