Beautiful Areas

PostAuthor: Isadora » Wed Apr 12, 2017 7:10 am

It's late, can't sleep, just reminiscing.

What do you think are the most beautiful areas on Avlis? Maybe the area isn't aesthetically pleasing so much as it has a poetic or beautiful history

I'll start:
Orcsourge areas,
Bazgamph
Suneal Thorpe
Bottom of the Elysia Crypts (the very bottom, the caves)
Visimontium Snowy Mountains
Green Order Tower, Le'Or
Zelvan Dur... pretty much all of it

Like, most of Visimontium. You people are missing out.

Zelvan Dur cleans up so well for weddings.
Geritri Forest.
The two meteor impacts I've seen in Deglos; The Scar, and a little one near Bandulaural.
Some crystal caverns in the wilds of the Underdark.
Heck, the Underdark in general above the Screw.
Every ruins being taken back by the forest on the floor of T'Nanshi.
Those few gloomy, misty areas in the world, like the Twilight Forest near Elysia.
The Toymaker's Workshop in Mikona. The subtle things make that sick, tainted feel just pop out.
Island of Song.
Oceanside Inn.

It's all in no particular order and there are more places I'm forgetting that were just a wonder to discover for the first time.

Nor'Seere is beautiful.
Eastern M'Chek along the coast is nice.
Elysia graveyard is also pretty, if you are into that sort of thing. :D

Nightfang - It is so well done and has so much attention to detail in the visual design.

Sorry I'm biased but my Pirate Cave Squids In... I didn't make it, Madkat did and JollyOrc did. So they get the credit but I am not a fan of massive areas and one PC standing there. X:|

None biased...

I agree with Twiggy on Nightfang.
Mikona Docks/Market place.
Some areas of the Underdark are pretty sweet.

The module altogether, at that, not just the city proper. Mountains, valleys, outlying villages, the whole lot. <3

While I'm at it, might as well "pull a Xeo" (self-promotion flavor) and pitch in for Derrington Keep! :D

Thank- you Ronan for Gertrie Forest!

Thank-you Tel for Silverthorn Grove!

That spot just beneath Onys bellybutton, where the algae crusted thatch of pubes are poking out from her unwashed pirate skivvies.

Wait...I misread the beginning. I took Beautiful Areas and read in " Where Hope, Reason and Sanity Die and turn to Tuna Odored Terror. "
