This is meant to be humourous and informative. A few of the options may not be either to some community members. Remember, this is a game and as such we do not make light of real diseases. These are fantasy epidemics in a fantasy world with fantasy people so have a little fun with it.

Use the following definitions when making your decision.

Multi Personalities:
Randomly acting and/or talking like someone else and having no memory of the event.

Arthritis:
Inflamation of the joints causing discomfort and stiffness.

Tourette's Syndrome:
A person with Tourette's may repeat his or her own words, repeat another person's words, or say obscene words or phrases.

Flees:
An infestation of the flee parasite causing itching and irritation.

Paranoia:
Extreme, irrational distrust of others.

Narcolepsy:
Involuntary daytime sleeping episodes.

Alektorophobia:
Irrational fear of chickens.

no, No, NOOOO!
no, No, NOOOO!

I'm for fleas too. And there is no such thing as an _irrational_ fear of chickens.

Genital warts.

Now, bear with me here... First off we'd need to assign some sort of "sex" action to the emote wand. Something similar to the "Sit on nearest chair" action, only more like "sit on nearest face", y'know? Nextly, we could add a percentage chance of transmission that alters itself to account for the gender of both parties involved (lot less chance of genital-to-genital contact, if ya get my drift).

Get Cherry Pie and the other Mikonan prostitutes a little house somewhere in the docks district, and have 'em flagged to be "usable" by the sex emote function same as PC's. Give a random sampling of the NPC hoo-ars "teh wartz", then sit back and wait to see how the disease vectors.

Bye Now,
Jerry Cornelius - Volunteering.

Running away from chickens is funny, I wouldn't want to catch it, but isn't that the idea? I do like the idea of a contagious Tourettes.

from a practicality perspective, fleas would probably be the easiest of the epidemic to implement. a few emtoes here and there, a cure available from your local AKN representative... what more could you ask for?

How about a magical ailment that makes all arcane casters spontaneously miscast spells 5% of the time, with often hilarious and thought-provoking results?

Or an outbreak of plantar warts, which reduce movement speed?

Or for that matter ordinary verruca (warts), which lowers Charisma?

Tourette's is a lot more FUCK entertaining though, insofar as it GODDAMIT is completely roleplayed SHIT.

Yes, the miscast spell would make Clerics of Dru'el turn into a mellowsmoking toad that has to be then kissed by the Bandit Queen Hugar herself in order to return to original form.

Now THAT would be funny

Easiest? Yes

Bland? Yes

Tourettes could be fun, and harmless :D

P.S. Vote Tourettes!

Are you saying you wanted Mute and Psychotic listed as well?

Can someone please explain why the price of the Summon Chicken scrolls have gone up from 75 to 1500 gold each?

Make a percent chance to repeat a couple random words spoken by the last person to speak every 6 seconds(maybe about 20) and a percent chance that it'll just be profanity instead(60?). This would be *really* funny. Make it like a .001 percent chance to develop it when you log on and not be contagious cause that wouldn't make sense and you have tourettes!
