A Real Life Fairytale

Luci & Amby wrote:Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, a Princess lived hidden away in a Tower of Solitude, high in the craggy rocks of Lost and Forgotten Love. She was content to live in her Tower, for it was predicable and she had everything in place, exactly as she liked it. For her, the Tower was comfortable and she had everything she thought she could want. She also had the love of two feline familiars, who adored her and she adored them. To further the illusion she was not a prisoner, the Princess also had the ability to travel down to the Fair Kingdom far below and she was free to visit with its citizens and guests. She always had a grand time so she was unaware how much of a tragedy it was when she was magically whisked away back to her Tower at each and every sunset.

The Tower was dangerous for outsiders. Not only was it high in the barren cliffs, but its roads were unpassable by all humans. Dire Worgs and Wild Dogs patrolled the area, its moat was filled with sharks, and all of the Tower’s thick gates were bolted and locked up tight.

The Tower of Solitude’s magically cursed nature ensured the Princess never got close enough to anyone to feel the need to invite them into her home or heart. She was blind to the fact the Tower was her Prison; she found comfort in knowing no one could reach her or ever harm her again.

One day, the Princess was enjoying her daily trip to the Kingdom’s Market, when she met a handsome Panda who ordered the same Keto Pizza lunch as she. The Princess chatted with the Pandaman and found his company pleasing, yet kept her usual distance, because, as with every night, She vanished once more to the Shadows of Lost and Forgotten Love.

What she did not know, was the Panda was struck by Princess’ company and he desired to see her again. All night he waited and, to his joy, saw her once more in the next morning’s crowded market.

Unlike any of her other potential suiters, the Panda began to see a pattern to the early morning light when the Princess would appear and the darkness which surrounded her when she magically vanished at sunset.

The Panda, being wise in the ways of lore, recognized these patterns as possible signs the Princess could be under a Curse. He began to test his theories, and, before the Princess was even aware what had happened, Pandaman had discovered the treacherous mountains of Lost and Forgotten Love and bravely ventured up the cliffs high enough to be able to see the Tower of Solitude.

His theory confirmed, our brave Panda set up camp at the base of the mountain. The Princess did not view this as a threat and began to visit him each morning on her way to Kingdom’s Market.

The longer he camped out front, never trying to intrude or invade or bypass the wards, the less of a Threat the Tower’s guards seemed to view his presence.

This arraignment could have gone on for a very long time, but, you see, the Princess began to view her Pandaman as a bit more than a friend. Unfortunately, this triggered the Curse which clamped down tight to keep her inside and away from even venturing out of her Tower. Our heroic Panda, however, was undaunted and waited patiently. He did not yet know the nature of the curse, but his intuition told him a forced intrusion at the wrong time would certainly lead to him never seeing the Princess again.

Then, one particularly dark and stormy night, when the worgs howled and icey winds buffeted the tower gates, our Heroic Panda could tell the Princess was greatly distressed and writhed against the control of her magical curse. He realized he loved her more than his own life and freely chose to take a step of faith, to climb the crags, brave the Wargs, Dogs, and Sharks, the ice, locks, and guards, up the crazy scary mountains of Lost and Forgotten Love, the Tower of Solitude, and see if he could reach the Princess.

And, because he was not human, our Panda succeeded in his quest!

Once safely next to the miserable Princess, Pandaman whispered “I'm in here with you now. I brought pepperoni sticks from Redmond Smokehouse to snack on and blankets and a campfire and we can cuddle if you want.” The divine light from his soul illuminated the darkness inside the Tower and the Princess was stunned to realize there were things she needed and desired which the Tower could not, would not provide.

As the Princess locked eyes with the Panda, whose own eyes were filled with light and love and peace, her magical curse shattered, for the Tower’s safeguards had never been warded against Divine damage. As the curse’s effects faided from the lands, the Tower of Solitude was magically transformed into their very own Fairytale Castle.

There was only one question which remained: “How could a Princess ever love a Panda?”

Turns out, the Princess was a Panda too.

…and they lived Happily Ever After….

// ….and that, folks, is the Real Life FairyTale story of how Luci & Amby found True Love, even when neither of them ever planned or expected for it to happen…especially as our main characters drive each other bonkers! (lol)

Being as we met on Avlis, we wanted to share the fun news with you, the rest of our friends. There’s many details still to work out before we move in together, but we’re already planning our wedding and ya’ll will be invited! We’ll also post photos of our rings when we have the finished design worked out, but they are magnetic as a symbol of how we stick together no matter what and a reminder for when we repel one another all we need to do is look at the issue from a different angle to come together.

Long Live True Love!

Blessings & Best,
Luci & Amby

We fully expect everyone to tell us we're insane, but we've already begun the process of telling family how we're in love and plan to be married and have kids as soon as logistically possible :)

Thank you, Avlis, for allowing me to find the other half of my soul.
