NPC trouble while building guildhall : In our case the NPCs are two - a mascot (skunk) and a scribe (scarecrow construct).
The trouble is, each time I try to edit them directly (name, movement speed, faction etc.), or even by creating an edited copy in the palette they won't appear in game. Am I missing something here? :shock:

What do you mean by they don't appear in game?
Is there an encounter setup with those creatures or do you place them directly. Check the appearance type of the creature, they should have a valid appearance type in the drop down box, if not the haks are the problem.
Check the haks attached to the module, you need CEP for those 2 creatures. Try a full rebuild.

To put it more clearly - placing a skunk and a scarecrow, they indeed appear in-game; but if I place them and edit them (like, setting faction to Commoner) or if I place an already edited by the palette version of them they won't appear ... Quite embarassing.
And no, I deffinitely do not mean to change anything about them except name and description, also faction in the case of the scarecrow and movement speed in the case of the skunk.

You are creating the npcs from scratch i hope? and not just editing a model. if it is the latter they wont appear in your list IN game as a dm as you havent made anything, just modified an original. Either make a NPC from scratch, or COPY an original and modify it that way. then change the Ref.

Always safer to start from scratch though.
