Two Questions:
Lets say I want to remort Ath'nook Nekk'en...

  • Would it be possible for him to become a NPC in the Limbo Deathplane?
  • Would it still be possible to hand over those 3 chosen items to one of the Alt's I'd promote to my Main PC?

And no, I won't remort him until his duty on the Prime is done. Yet.

Yes to the first.
To the second, yes only if you're not rolling Ath's heir. The only way we'd stick him as an NPC there via Avlis is if Ath died, which means he'd need a pretty good reason to pass on his gear before going someplace dangerous. If it's an entirely new PC, that makes things easier to harmonize.

Actually, if there is a lot of players thinking of re-morting around about now, and if playing time/timezones permitted it would be good to team-up - we'll all be similiar levels. Maybe we could even remort along the lines of a "theme" (like in the past there's been spates of pirates / goblins / kobolds, etc.).

Here's a thought... how about we boost the Shahesk numbers?

(I just posted my re-mort app, but I guess if there was interest the nice people in The Team, might let me change the character concept).

Dirk: It has happen before along those lines your talking about. Two people remorting togther with a concept. 8-)

My suggestion is to start a General Discussion thread, and look for some intrest in it.

some character have wills when they die, he could actually have a 'readable note' for a will, I am sure somebody has done that before  .... just because he dies does not mean they whole party will and somebody (DM NPC) can 'pass' the a few items on to his long lost son or whatever....

the will I am talking about was when my last main was killed.. where he left all his items to different characters and guilds he was involved with... I AM NOT TEAM.. but I figure if you wanted to will something to your remort, you should be able too....

This is the exception to the rule, Lesli. It's also the reason why there are only 3 items going from character to character. Some people, who shouldn't be named, were passing items from their epic character to their newly made character. That's the reason your characters can't know each other. There is too much possibility for that sort of thing.

You can remort to a non-direct relation, though I'm not sure how the item giving works with that option. *prods spool32 to answer*

C-2. Item transfer to heir PC; Up to 3 items.

Would it have to be 3 items the PC had or is there any way I could possibly get three original ones...or would I have to go with Option 2 for that? Thanks

The point of the heir is to pass on some of the old PC's gear... as if he inherited it. Write staff@avlis.org with your idea though.

I have a quick question about this remort. If I'm going with option 2 under D it says character becomes NPC. Do we get to have much input on where the NPC will end up or is it mainly just in the palette for spawn by dm's?

Also, the 3 custom items of similar power to existing best items... does that include banned items? He has a golden circlet for example and I didn't know if that was something that would be taken into account for the remort. Or does that fall under a no banned items rule?

I just wanted to be clear as the decision was hard enough already!

Thanks!!!

Darkfire and darthmullet both say they'd like to be able to spawn Thorfinn, so he'll probably just go into the palette. PM me on the banned items, we'll see what things we can work out.
