Jessica's around 110 including artificing, I think. Highest in blacksmithing (16?) but WAY more difficult was 11 jewelry. Gaaah!

I would guess Davilia to be the highest overall crafter, EVER. If she ever takes up jewelry seriously, one-stop shopping! :)

So no one at 20th after all, and no change in mining since the original list. Not surprising after the change to xp gain there. I never realized people could get that far in artifacing, but the other numbers are about what I expected.

Yes, but remember you can still get xp for easy, very easy, and trivial... so that's getting xp while 7th 8th and 9th... not sure about while 10th... hmm... X:|

You can get 3 or 4 levels higher than the last recipe level with effort. DM's can also hand out crafting xp cookies, so maybe the 11th level was done that way, assuming the last recipe is at 6th (I have no clue about herbalism).

You still get a little XP for the 6th level recipes, at 10th level. The fifth level recipes were still giving XP at ninth, if I recall correctly.

You are right about that. I thought it was only 3 levels below, but I just tested making 8th level items at 12th in research mode (less than 5), and you do still get xp.

Moira has 10 in herbalism and about 2/3rds to 11.

I'd bet money that at least one 11 was gutemensch's character.

So who's gonna admit to those top scores now? :P I know who my money is on for weapons, and Mhogar already said here that he was working on 17th in alchemy 3 years ago. Smeec missed the top in gems by about 3k, but did get 2 others (take a wild guess which ones).

Well, I know that I am one of them that had 12 levels in armor crafting and it was a pain. The best that I can recall, I was getting 6xp per set of copper full plate at level 11. In other words it took about 2,000 sets of copper armor to make it to level 12 from level 11, or approximately 20,000 copper ingots to make that one level. I did some bronze also which got me like 8xp I think, but the copper worked out better in the long run. This was also before copper and tin were so abundant in Deglos and also the nuggets were 2X2 instead of 1X1 which even made it much more difficult. *Raves MadK for the small nuggets*

The best part about all of that? I could then make Bronze Full Plate with no problem at all!! Yes!! I would now become rich because everyone wanted that Bronze Full Plate armor. ;) Actually I wanted to make sure I was the best I could be so that I would not mess up anything when I worked on the sewing machine for people. I still love that thing!! Lots of fun times there. PJ is the man!

Leon still has the mining level. I think I was 12th when the XP change went in. That pretty well stopped mining levels in their tracks.

Before the newer revisions of the mining code, people could achieve this sort of success.

Wow, that had to be an immense number of things.

BTW, different crafting areas seem to have different falloff levels. I think carpentry falls off much faster, such that 3 levels behind doesn't give anything.

Anyway, still, WOW! :) To ALL of those!

I'm surprised nobody's at 13th jewelry though.

Try 2 million and people being so happy to get them at that price. Ah the days of 900k +2 rings.

Ha!! I remember when +2 Strength rings were a wait and 300K....and I thought that was a bargain! Actually I remember Smeec buying some platinum from Kraven for 10K per ore!!! BTW, if anyone else wants to buy some platinum ore for that price, feel free to shoot me a PM. :)

Mining - 110523 (15th)

Back in the day, you could get 300XP per server reset for mining iron ore (1xp/ore), no matter what level miner you were. So you could mine on Deglos, Leor, Mikona and Wilds and make 1200 mining XP in no time. Of course, then you were done until the next server reset.
