Something is screwed with the CD. It either doesn't read or reads as nothing on the disk.

Hmm... Maybe I should have copied it as an image instead of a straight data copy.

I still don't have a complete understanding of how CD images work. But I know intuitively that if I burn it as an image you will be able to use it with no problem.

I'll give it to you when I get in on Wednesday.

A CD File Format consists of 1's and 0's (pits and no pits) starting from the center of the disk and spiraling off to the edge. A CD Image is simply that bitstream saved as a file on the hard disc. It exactly what is represented on the disc.

When you copy files to a CD, the files get converted into a bit stream individually and on the fly. When you burn a CD Image onto the CD, there's no conversion necessary... it does a direct bit for bit burn.

Josh is bringing me another copy tomorrow to try. We'll see how that one turns out.

Aha! There is a profound reason why the CD I gave you didn't work: Josh didn't have a frick'n clue about how to use his CD burning software.

But that has been fixed, and I burned a new one AND I even tested it out before I am giving it to you (unlike the last one).
It works.

AAHH. I used to have that problem... giving people things without testing them... then I had a performance review and they gave me a raise and told me to test things before giving them to people.
