Psst... You missed armor.

And it wasn't me. I couldn't even figure out how to make new armor, without a club to the head about something obvious (It wasn't that obvious, I swear!!!). X:|

Yeah, Artificing overwrote it in my list when I pasted it in. Should be set now!

...Mining is Fletcher, so there's one mystery solved.

Lol, until a few months ago, yours would have been very, very, very hard to beat, if it even could have been beaten.

With all the new crafting things that have been added though, high levels are not that exciting anymore. I use to think they were quite a feat and some still are, especially Herbalism, but most are now "Oh, well that was easy". :) Well, making the basic item. Finishing cost a lot of XP!

Go grab that pick!

The "making" isn't all that easy.

You are looking at it from the perspective of someone who, not only knows a bunch of game limits and mechanics (most old school crafters know many of them), but also as someone who doesn't care about spending 10-20 million (or more with supplies) on a single batch of 20+ items... and the huge XP hit, which in some cases can't be done before 40th (well, DM cookies and quests only maybe). Also, the amounts of ingredients you have stashed away took you years and years to accumulate.

The gemcutting/carpentry/mining skills are different, since you can make thousands a day from harvesting materials now, on top of any gains making items. I'm slowly catching up in gems/mining that way, since it doesn't require spending XP on my way back to 40th, so you better keep digging Grunt! :P

One more numbers table, if you like seeing how far people jumped up in the last 9 months:

~XP Gained By The Top Crafters In Skills Since April 1st, 2016~
Code: Select all
 |    Crafting   | Top Crafting XP | Top Crafting XP | Crafting XP |
 |_____Skill_____|___Jan 1, 2017___|___Apr 1, 2016___|____Gained___|
  Alchemy        : 172,846 [19th]  -  171,146 [19th] =    1,700
  Armorcrafting  : 214,367 [21st]  -  210,534 [21st] =    3,833
  Blacksmithing  : 242,488 [22nd]  -  233,131 [22nd] =    9,357
  Carpentry      : 194,797 [20th]  -  175,300 [19th] =   19,497
  Gemcutting     : 141,238 [17th]  -  102,118 [14th] =   39,120
  Herbalism      :  68,912 [12th]  -   68,912 [12th] =        0
  Jewelcrafting  : 216,820 [21st]  -   86,489 [13th] =  130,331
  Mining         : 121,452 [16th]  -  110,523 [15th] =   10,929
  Tailoring      : 356,234 [27th]  -  128,459 [16th] =  227,775
  Weaponcrafting : 237,133 [22nd]  -  234,577 [22nd] =    2,556
  Artificing     : 469,690 [31st]  -  396,262 [28th] =   73,428

This isn't an accurate representation of gains by individuals, since some leapfrogged over previous record holders.

That is true if you want to do a very big jump at the end, but you could jump from level 14 up to 18 by spending right at 1.5 million. That is not too bad.

Also, the amounts of ingredients you have stashed away took you years and years to accumulate.

Actually not really. Most of that I did not have for my final jump. Easy enough to collect it within a few weeks. Would have been real easy to do if you figured the crafts out real quick and ingredients that you needed and bought it all from merchants while it was still cheap (and I did buy some). :)

The ones I was really mostly talking about was Carpentry, Mining and gem cutting though. Those use to be quite a feat, but not anymore. I was level 13 miner and that was the hard way! :) That being said, I sure LOVE the new mining code, though I do wish that carpentry and wood cutting were separate. A PC could make level 500 carpenter and never make anything. Same with gem cutting. Be nice if it was split and maybe just use mining for both ore and gems.

Always fun to see those top levels, thanks for the post Grunt.
