hi folks, as we have turned back the clock again because of the end of DST last weekend or at least here in Europe. Don't forget to turn it off in your user control panel other wise your event calendar will be out of sink.

happy playing

I was going to do another post for North Americans, but this will do fine.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) ends for most North Americans this weekend, on November 6th, Sunday at 2 AM, when the clocks go back an hour. When that happens (or for the Europeans who already changed), just change the "Summer Time/DST is in effect:" choice to "No" , here in your Control Panel > Board Preferences. Don't switch your timezone!

*edits* I always forget the upside down people who do it the other way, and start DST around now, so if you are one, just assume I'm dyslexic, and set it to "YES" whenever it changes for you.

You can verify it by checking the "It is currently ..." time on the main index page. As Pleth mentioned, all of the calendar stuff and other times will adjust accordingly, but recurring/future events need to be checked to see if you set them to account for the change.
I hate DST! :glaskugel:

If you want to change the "Timezone:" in your Control Panel > Profile, remember that it only for information purposes, and doesn't do anything. Set it it "Moon" time if you want, or anything else. The forums don't use it for any time calculations. It is only extra profile/avatar info.

Today's the day for most of North America, so don't forget to change your "Summer Time/DST is in effect:" choice in your Control Panel > Board Preferences.
