Disable trap bug?

I'm not sure where this should go, but I was on Deglos and I attempted to disable a trap,and I got a failure when I shouldn't have. The line read as follows:
Disable Trap: *failure*: (20+26=46 vs DC 38)

The area was: Southeastern Deglos, Strange Cave

This seems like a bug to me. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Out of curiosity, does your character have rogue levels?

Special: Rogue is the only class capable of disarming traps with a DC of 35 or greater.

*edit* Per the notes lower down on that page, it is traps with a DC greater than 35, not 35 or greater. Interestingly it also says any class can recover any trap, provided the skill check is passed (at +10 DC).

That would be why he's asking if you have rogue levels.

If your character isn't a Rogue: see Gorgon's post.

If your character is a Rogue: the trap is flagged Undisarmable.

Undisarmable traps give the following message, unless something changed:
"Disable Trap : *Success will never be possible*"

If it gave the DC and made the roll, it probably is disarmable AFAIK.

Oh, and if you run into any other bugs, there is a bug tracker for them via the Report a Bug thing on the side navigator of every page (unless you keep it hidden -You need to log in to report a bug IIRC). It uses Javaforge's codeBeamer, which will be going away in 2 and a half months, but I'm sure the team will have something else set up by then.

Ahh, no rogue levels. Only assassin levels, so this explains it. Thanks all!
