What custom races are now dynamic?

The wiki seems like it needs updating, just wanted to make sure I had the right info before editing.

For 1.68 there was an unofficial edit to the hak that allowed players to add the dynamic looks of kobolds, goblins, gnolls and shaahesk, half ogres and full orcs. I heard that an edit was in the works for 1.69 by various players, but I've not seen it yet.

The reason Avlis has not made these changes is because for many of these races there is only the male side, and if a player rolled up a female, only the floaty name would appear. There were other graphics problems as well, ogres were suddenly missing heads, or, because they hadn't been given armor during creation but now were dynamic, lots of various npc's were walking round naked or missing their torso entirely. Very odd stuff.

Half-Ogres are the only newly dynamic by default custom race.

Don't I wish! :P

OK, I updated one wiki page I saw in error. The Half-ogre page itself was already in good shape.

I wonder, the little fairies and brownies are dynamic, with little butterfly wings. Maybe there is a flight option?

Ohhh Rhiss?

Nah, doubt it would happen :( There are bigger things to work on. Oh well.

Okay, I've got an updated hak, doing some testing now.

People that have been playing with these, what are your preferences re: helmets? I know that gnolls didn't have helmets in the downloadable hak, but I've always liked having the helmet on top of the head for my character.

Also, orc players, do you prefer using the dynamic orc model or the fully-dynamic half-orc model?

Thanks!

Half-orc is the standard half-orc model that you would get if you created a half-orc, with skin color, hair color, armor, capes, the works. Pros: everything will work, both female and male models, etc. Cons: indistinguishable from half-orcs

The dynamic orc looks like this:

But as with all the other dynamic models is missing capes and is probably glitchy, and only has the one head available.

i usually went with the half-orc model because of how the robes were always completely screwed up with the dynamic model.

mega, my preference would be the dynamic orc model. I kept having to emote that I'm actually an orc.

The dynamic orc looks alright I guess. But do they look all gimpy when they run though? I can't stand the way the non-dynamic one looks while moving - its just painful to watch.

I am back to the horrible diaper and pouches model on both Elysia and UD, haven't tried anywhere else. Why would we be seeing different forms? Would this be caused by using that trick with the .2da forms? Before the update I was using the half-orc model. Did the update revert me?

It appears you only get the default dynamic Half-Ogre model if you create a new one since the update. I logged in with an old character of mine and he had reverted back to the static model. Then logged into Le'Or and created a new one, and then got the dynamic model.
Currently on Eastern Time - 5 GMT.
Available play times= any time ! Way too much time on my hands.

Odd. My half-ogre, whom I've been playing since the beginning of the year, became nicely dynamic as soon as the update went in.

Does the fully dynamic orc model still do the nonsense with robes? If so, half-orc.
