You know that you are addicted to Avlis when.....

General discussion about Avlis

...you're working on updates at 3am Christmas morning instead of drinking milk and eating cookies. Or sleeping before travel. :D

My wife got Spongebob Monopoly for using at her work (works with kids). I was thinking it'd be cool to have an Avlis Monopoly with little die-cast DnD/Avlis figures to play with. What would be Park Place and Broadway? Elf Gate and The Rock?

You know you are addicted to Avlis when looking for prospective homes and you mumble about the pictures not being accurate and wishing you had a blueprint layout... then the addict replies, "Just ask for the resref."
Here's to a long life and a merry one, a quick death and an easy one, a pretty girl and an honest one, a cold pint and another one!

When you say you're going to "quit" or "scale back" and your wife just rolls her eyes at you and says "here we go again...". ;-)

When you sit at your jobs wishing and thinking of ways to get a lap top so that you can play at work...But since you can you use 2 subject note books designing prospective characters from level 1 to level 40 with every detail including where you will put skill points. Even though you know you will most likely not ever make those said characters....Even worse when your caught and try to pitch sale it off to your boss hoping that she becomes addicted..lol

...when you're checking the boards for the fifth time in as many hours just because it's the fastest website you can get on the airport (Kuala Lumpur) where you're on a ten hour stop-over...
You even go so far as to flaunt this mere nuicance of an otherwise dream-trip to New Zealand to your guildmates and whine you can't go in-game...

(slightly off topic; jetlag makes you giddy and not care about hunger or avlis-deprevation)

When one of your 8th grade students, during her introduction of you today at an awards assembly, says one thing the kids will never forget about you is how late you stay up on school nights playing video games . . .

. . . and says it into a very loud microphone to a room filled with over 300 parents during the kids' awards ceremony.

When you can't get up early enough in the morning to play your Avlis alt, because you were up all night playing your Avlis main, and have to make a post saying 'sorry I flaked', but you see that almost everyone else flaked too, and you think, "WTF am I doing up all night friday night playing Avlis, anyway?" Then you think, "WWMD" ...(What Would Mikon Do?) THAT'S how you know you're addicted. :D
Are you sure this thing's gnome-made? I don't see how I could hurt myself with it.

Lol, gotta love that one.
I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello?), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice-mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

When you and your loved one are visiting a very memorable, historical site, you walk over a small wooden bridge and look at the buildings, then look at each other and both of you say "It looks like Zvid."

When you try to copy the whirlwind attack animation during your martial arts training, lose your balance and fall repeatedly flat on your ass mumbling something about missing "feats" and getting agility "stats" up.

When you have a bad dream that you lost your boots of speed because of a bug, only to wake up and remember that you don't have boots of speed, and aren't sure whether you should be relieved or sad. :?
