You know that you are addicted to Avlis when.....

General discussion about Avlis

Of course you can't compare power game leveling speeds NOW to the speeds back THEN. Afterall, there is an exp death penalty now, and a few months ago the exp slider was lowered, if anyone remembers.

I know I'm addicted when:
You solve coding problems in your sleep.

You know you are addicted when you fall asleep thinking "would my character want a level of ranger to add to the levels of rogue or fighter" and start to compare in character and out of character reasons for multiclassing.

or

You know you are addicted when you fall asleep and dream about reorganizing your inventory for better access during stressful times to prevent the next death/unorganization of inventory.

You have more contact with Real Life friends online in Avlis, then you do face to face...

Your friends ask how you have been and you answer about your character. And this was what they were expecting when they asked, and they begin talking about their character developement too.

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

When you have a serious discussion with a friend about if (and or how) you should kill someone out loud in a public place and people start looking at you funny.

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

when you would rather come home and play Avlis to get that 1000 xp you need to level, than get drunk for free on a friday night with your RL friends.

you know you got it bad, when you and a friend that both play on Avlis spend 7 and 1/2 hours of an 8 and 1/2 hour car ride with the raido off and talk about Avlis the whole time.

Draiden
Delen and I did that a month ago...how sad :)

 Kinda off topic, but I actually passed a programming exam like that! I spent a couple of days before the exam trying to get my head round one of the modules. I eventually gave up, went to bed and had a dream about studying this module, in my dream, I managed to work out where I was going wrong. Aced the exam the next day!

Anyway, back on topic....

When the first thing you do in the morning at you work isn't drinking coffee or talk with you?re co-workers. No going right to http://boards.blackdagger.com/ and watch what all you guys wrote.
I have the annoying habit to laugh hard, and when I read story?s like :
You squash a bug and immediately wonder if you can sell its guts to some kid.

Haha
You walk up to complete strangers and expect them to talk to you... if they don?t, you try pick their pockets and then fumble for a potion of invisibility...

Hahaha
Addicted? I am not addicted to Avlis...Really I am not....Honestly.......I can stop playing anytime I wish to do so....

Stop now.. hahaha
My co-workers look really surprised.

You don't call it Neverwinter Nights anymore, you call it Avlis.
eg I'm going to play me some Avlis.

I ask Harvey always the same question!

This has happened to me three times! What's really weird is one of them was about that pool meeting two days before it actually happened... I dunno if the dialogue was the same (I can't remember) but all of the people were there. Spooky, really.

You are driving to work in the fog and either :

~ You wonder whether there is a real-life camera hak that could push the fog barrier back a bit further

or

~ You spend the entire journey thinking "wow ... this is how my character sees Avlis!"

which is what I did on the way in to work this morning!
