Stupid Newbie Question Regarding PMs

PostAuthor: Dane Bramage » Wed Mar 31, 2004 4:42 pm

Sorry for the seemingly inane question, but I'm new here and not that familiar with how everything works around here.

I have tried to PM a DM. I have written the message and clicked submit, but the message doesn't appear in my 'Sent Items' folder. It appears in my 'Outbox', and I have yet to find a way to get it sent. Am I missing something or just confused? Please enlighten me.

Thanks,

Dane Bramage.

PS: I wasn't sure if this is the place to post this, so I appologize if I have missed the mark. As I said, I'm not that familiar with the forums yet.

Until the person actually reads the message, it will stay in your Outbox. So for it to be sent, they have to login and actually open the thing...

I've moved the question to a more appropriate place. The answer given by TEK is correct though, nothing to add from me.

Ah, thanks for the move, Sindol.

Back to dumb newbie questions...

What's the difference between PM and Email? Is it that PMs come back to my account here and Emails come back to the email account I used when I set up my membership?

Which is the preferred method for communicating with staff?

Thanks again for the help.

Dane Bramage.

PMs don't leave these boards, so they won't spam your (work or private) e-mail inbox. Plus you can choose to hide your e-mail address on these forums for privacy reasons.

For contacting DMs either will work. If you need a particular DM and you know his boards name, send a PM. If you just need a DM, but don't know which one, send a mail to staff@avlis.org. Mails to that address will be available to all DMs to read and reply.
