How high are crafting levels going to go?

PostAuthor: Titanium Dragon » Sun Feb 01, 2004 12:50 pm

Alright, this question has been burning in my mind for a long time, so I might as well air it out now.

How high of level of crafting things are we going to be getting put in? Right now, alchemy seems to have one level six recipe. Woodcrafting, tailoring, ect. seem to have a number of recipes and might go up a bit higher. The question is, how high level is the top end going to be? Potions of heal are level 6; there's pretty much nothing you could craft that is better/more valuable unless you start putting really rediculous spells into them (timestop, anyone?).

1) Are some recipes going to increase in difficulty?
2) About what level will be maximum? Current ones? 10? 15? 20? 40?
Gilkin> ouch. how often do you roll a 20?
Cath> once every 20 rolls?

Currently, highest level recipes:

Alchemy: 8
Armorcrafting: 8
blacksmithing: 13
carpentry: 9
tailoring: 11
Weaponcrafting: 9

There are defenite plans to expand upon this. The implementation is currently on hold for the overhaul and HoU changes. Afterwards... *big grin*

It is probably safe to say that we don't know. As new ideas and recipes crop up new levels may be added. Crafting on Avlis is still a work and progress and probably will remain as such for a good length of time.

Fighters do it face to face, Rogues may do it from behind, Rangers can do it from a distance, Wizards do it from out of nowhere, Clerics may not do it at all, Barbarians may do it in a rage, Sorcerers can do it on a whim, Bards on a note, but Paladins have to pay for it!
