Like the mage poll, I know only a scanty number of names on the list.

Once you read DragonLance you will all know that Caramon Majere is the best warrior. :D

Lord Soth is close behind... Tough choice

What about comic-book warriors like Captain America? Or for that matter Superman? ;)

How about the Celtic heroes like Cuchullain or Finn Mac Cool? Taliesin was a bard, not really a warrior as such. For that matter, there were plenty of good Arthurian warriors. Hell, you left out Gawain and Lancelot, and included the bard? Damn, that's cold.

Then there are the Greeks. Achilles probably also deserves to be listed, for though he's mostly famous for his flaw, he was quite a formidable opponent. Herakles (Hercules) is also rated by many as one of the most powerful warriors of all time. It's the whole divine hero thing, very popular in Ancient Greece apparently.

You also missed all the great asian warrior heroes, of which there are too many to list... but what about Li Mu Bai? Wong Fei-Hong (as played by Jet Li)? Wong Fei-Hong (as played by himself)? Miyamoto Musashi? Tomoe Gozen?

Damn, I can't vote on that list. There are too many other good ones left out.

Sorry - I'd have to vote for the greatest of all, the warped warrior himself: Cuchulain, ('Wolfhound of Culann')

Soth wins out of that selection.

Few heroes can cause as much... ahem... debate. I seem to recall there being some argument amongst the D&D writers about where he lived. Ravenloft trying to poach him as I recall.

Gotta love it when a character's so cool that someone else tries to steal him out of your setting :D

I'll agree here. I tried to remember him but couldn't come up with the name.

Listen y'all, I'm afraid that my geekness is currently only rated at a 6 out of 10. Thus the imperfect poll options. I will try harder at being a dork. Have patience. 8[] But first, I'm going to the ball game. Later!

Sorry, haven't seen a dwarf ask that yet.

A wise man does not dwell on his past. He learns from it, he grows from it, and then moves ahead into his future.

And some wise words from a wise man. :P

Lord Soth came from Krynn (Dragonlance) before being sucked into the Demiplane of Ravenloft.

Damn. Damn, damn. I tried so hard to remember this guy instead of Hagar. I Googled for viking comic cartoon and all these things and came up with nada. Only happened upon Hagar after failing to find Asterix.

Good call.

Cardinals lost to Roger Clemens and the Astros. Blues lost to San Jose. Not a good night for St. Louis sports.
