Inn room sharing, Vault Jailing and banning OH MY!

PostAuthor: Alexandru Stanicu » Wed Apr 19, 2006 3:07 am

I want to make it perfictly clear that you are not allowed to share one inn room between two characters that you play.
Doing so is metagaming at best and cheating is a more accurate description.
If you share a room between two of your own characters, we will spot it in the DB.
When we do spot it, I am willing to bet that you will not like the consequences.

Examples wrote:Player Joe Bob's character Jack and Player Jane Doe's character Jill share an inn room. No problem as they are not played by the same player.

Player Joe Bob's character Jack and player Joe Bob's character John share an inn room. This is not allowed. One of our basic rules is that differnt characters played by the same player can never meet, can not know each other and can not be related.

I dont know how to make this any more clear:

Share an Inn room between two characters played by the same player and at a minimum, you will end up with a term of Vault Jail and the contents of the chest deleted. This post constitutes your "Second Warning".

BTW just so it is clear, even if you have stopped playing a specific character your other character(s) should not share a room with them.

I can only think of one way for a palyer to share a room between two of their own characters and that is to, in some fashion, pass a room key from one character to the other. Since the two can never meet, can not be related and can not know each other I dont see any way to do this that is not metagaming.
Just say no.
